Colombia (USA):Â At least three US soldiers have been killed and dozens injured in a drone attack on a military post called ‘Tower 22’ in Jordan. An American official said that the attack was carried out at midnight on Tower-22, a small outpost near the Syrian border. There was a drone attack on the residential areas of the soldiers due to which a large number of soldiers were injured.

This is the first time that American soldiers have been killed in an attack in the region since the Hamas attack on Israel on October 7 last year. President Joe Biden has expressed his commitment to holding those responsible for this attack. Shocked by the death of three American soldiers and injury to several others in a drone attack by an Iran-backed group in Jordan, US President Joe Biden said on Sunday that America would “respond”.

What is ‘Tower 22’ in Jordan?
A large-sized drone attacked a ‘logistics support’ base known as ‘Tower 22’ in Jordan. Central Command said about 350 US military and air force personnel were deployed at the base. Several American officials, on the condition of anonymity, said that three soldiers were killed and most of the injured were army personnel. In addition to personnel from the US engineering, aviation and logistics departments, security personnel were deployed in this small establishment.
US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said, “America will take all necessary action to protect its troops and American interests.” Austin said the troops were deployed there to permanently defeat the terrorist organization ISIS.
