All candidates will appear in the Computer Based Online Screening Test known as CGCAT.
The test consists of 100 MCQs.
There are four marks for every correct answer and one negative mark for every wrong answer.

Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2024 Qualification

Technical (mechanical)

Engineering degree from a recognized university in Naval Architecture or Mechanical or Marine or Automotive or Mechatronics or Industrial & Production or Metallurgy or Design or Aeronautical or Aerospace with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

Technical (Electrical/Electronics)

Engineering degree from a recognized university in Electrical or Electronics or Telecommunication or Instrumentation or Instrumentation & Control or Electronics & Communication or Power Engineering or Power Electronics with minimum 60% aggregate marks.

General Duty (GD)

Degree from recognized university with minimum 60% marks.
