Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus has won the women’s singles title at the Australian Open 2024.
In the final match played at Melbourne Park on Saturday (January 27), Sabalenka defeated China’s Zheng Qianwen in straight sets 6-3, 6-2.

The match between the two players lasted for one hour and 16 minutes.
Second seed Sabalenka has won the Australian Open title for the second consecutive time.
Zheng reached the final for the first time
- Zheng’s dream of winning her first Grand Slam title was shattered. Zheng reached a Grand Slam final for the first time.
- Sabalenka did not lose a single set till the title journey. Sabalenka had won the title at Melbourne Park last year by defeating Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan.
